My son, BR, got sick on Valentines Day. I thought maybe it was all the junk they have at school parties but pretty soon we could tell that it's some kind of virus or something. I must admit that I'm a worrier. I try convincing myself that worrying is not going to change the end results of a situation one bit, except that I'll be a bit more tied in knots than before. So anyway, this is the source of my wondering and worrying this weekend:
BR has had a fever (between 101 and 103) since Friday, he's very tired, and he doesn't want to eat much!! (The eating part is the most alarming because my kids ALWAYS want to eat and they eat as much as their dad!! Especially BR. He loves almost every dish or food he's presented with and gives lavish praise for the dinners I make, ahhh, he knows the way to my heart.) :) AND over the past few days he's developed this strange dry cough. This morning he just kept coughing and coughing, but it didn't sound like he was trying to cough anything up.
I guess it's probably something that just has to pass, and I hate going to the doctor/ER etc. just to have them look at you with the "why in the world are you so paranoid?" look, but at the same time I ask myself "what if, what if"? (I can see myself now as the mom of an infant!! yikes! I need to chill out!)
Anyway, if anybody can give me any help, advice, recommendations, etc. I'd really appreciate it!! (The only thing we've done is give him children's Tylenol, vitamins, zinc, colloidal silver, sore throat tea, and lots of rest and liquids.
